Serum's API

Today, I struggled to find a way to use a MaxForLive device to send information to Serum. I assumed it would be as easy as fetching the live path from a Serum UI object via the GetLivePath device, but this was not recognized. Eventually I realised that if I clicked the 'Unfold Device Parameters' in Live's Panel and then 'Configure', I could click a Serum GUI to add it to the (currently empty) list of customisable parameters. This customisable paramter would appear in the panel as a slider object, which could then be mapped via UDP. It would take a lot of 'faffing around', but I could now map M4L devices to parameters of Serum (and other external VSTs and plugins), and not just other M4L Devices.
