How many bits?!

I came across some problems today, where devices were not communicating via UDP. When testing UDP between my laptop and a friends on my home network there was no problem, yet when testing between my laptop and PC on the same network, nothing was working! After much frustration, I realized what the problem was... I was getting 64bit and 32bit software and M4L devices mixed up. It turned out that not only was my laptop running the 32bit versions of Live and Max and my PC running the 64bit versions, but some of the external objects I had downloaded (such as bufgranul~) could only be ran in the 32bit version! I now know that I need to be consistent with this. I haven't noticed any problems with using the 32bit version of Live, so for now I have reinstalled Live and Max on my PC as 32bit, thus ending this annoying problem. I can now communicate between PC and Computers using UDP, allowing wireless data transfer - something the project would unlikely survive without.
